Monkey Fight refers to aggressive physical conflicts between monkeys, usually caused by competition, territorial disputes, food, mating opportunities, or social rank.
Monkeys may threaten each other by showing their teeth, screaming, staring, chasing, or making aggressive movements before a fight begins. If the conflict escalates, they can bite, scratch, push, pull, or wrestle. In many species, these fights are less about seriously injuring an opponent and more about establishing dominance and social hierarchy.
Interestingly, monkey groups often have complex social relationships. After a conflict, some monkeys may reconcile through grooming or other peaceful behaviors. This helps maintain cooperation within the group.
